It seems that Paris Hilton and Carrie Bradshaw share a particular obsession: that of the most elegant cocktail on the mixology charts. Based on that fixation, the Y2K icon has teamed up with Absolut to create her own Cosmopolitan presented in a pack that includes two hand-overlapping short-stemmed Matrimony glasses, an insulated pink cocktail shaker and a gold jigger.
Paris Hilton, as she did with the 2000s, is bringing back the Cosmo, creating her own recipe and collection of glassware inspired by the pink drink. ‘I think [the drink of the summer] is definitely the Cosmo. It’s pink, it’s hot, and if it’s Absolut, obviously it’s the best,’ Paris confessed to Delish. In fact, she revealed that it’s the only cocktail she has on her agenda for the summer. ‘I love Cosmos and my waters’.
According to Hilton, she has seen a big resurgence of the martini, which she says has always been her ‘favourite drink’. It’s making a big comeback. It’s everywhere, at festivals, restaurants and nights out,’ she reveals. ‘It was also the star drink on my birthday this year.’
Silving Cosmo
The recipe for the Cosmo de Paris and/or the ‘Sliving Cosmo’, consists of 1.5 parts Absolut Citron, 3/4 parts Triple Sec, 3/4 parts cranberry juice and 3/4 parts lime, shaken with ice and strained into a cocktail glass. I love it because it has the perfect sweetness and I love that it’s pink, so it looks really cute when you hold it, like an accessory,’ she says.
