The bakery Panem, located in the Retiro neighborhood, has announced on Instagram that they have suffered a robbery last night. In the images you can see how they have broken the windows of the entrance to access the premises located in Fernán González 42 street. For the moment, it is known that the thieves have taken the cash register and, for that reason, today they will remain closed.
Panem has also commented that they will try to solve the problem as soon as possible to return to normality. They have done so with the following message: “We regret to start the day by communicating that today we will not be able to open our store. We have been robbed tonight. It is impossible for us to serve our customers as our cash register has been taken. We are trying to solve it as quickly as possible, we hope that tomorrow we can be with you again, we will keep you informed”.
This is one of the most prestigious bakeries in Madrid. In recent years it has won awards such as the Best Artisan Croissant of Spain 2021 (here the recipe) or the Best Three Kings Cake of Madrid 2022, among others. We hope they can return to normality as soon as possible.
