The iconic punk rock band consisting of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool has just dipped into the exhilarating world of coffee to launch a new version of its ‘Punk Bunny‘ brand.

To commemorate two special milestones consisting of the 30th anniversary of Green Day’s ‘Dookie’ album and the 60th anniversary of 7-Eleven‘s take-out cups, the group has created a special blend with vibrant citrus notes fused with hints of stone fruit. The coffee finally features a warm cocoa flavor and a hint of spice.

Based on creating ‘a multi-layered coffee experience,’ according to a press release, this new iteration introduces fair trade to 7-Eleven stores with bagged blends and K-Cups of Punk Bunny’s Sound Check and Last Ride In roasts.

In addition, to celebrate the launch of 7-Eleven x Green Day, on Wednesday, August 28, the first 50 fans to show up at the 7-Eleven store at 800 6th Ave. in New York City and get tattooed with the creative union’s custom tattoo will receive free 7-Eleven coffee for 711 days.
