Meghan Markle is constantly reinventing herself, after announcing her new cooking show in collaboration with Netflix. Now she is doing so with a lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard, which has just launched its first product: a jar of strawberry jam sealed with a romantic label.
Although details about the product -such as ingredients, cost, production- are kept secret, the Duchess’s close circle has been able to taste it exclusively, and share it on social media. One of them was Tracy Robbins, a fashion designer and friend of Meghan’s, who posted a photo on her Instagram profile on Monday of a jar of jam placed on top of a basket of lemons.
Beyond jam, Markle’s firm will sell everything from crockery to cutlery, cookbooks, serving utensils, jams and jellies, oils and other household items.
The jars included logo labelling and a handwritten number, identifying the ’50’ jar, suggesting the item is part of a limited edition. The product is also adorned with a fabric lid and ribbon in the shape of a bow, and includes the word ‘Montecito’, suggesting that this product was manufactured in the upscale Los Angeles neighbourhood where the Duke and Duchess currently reside.
Argentinian socialite Delfina Blaquir also received the new American Riviera Orchard jam of which she shared a photo of her jar – #10 of 50 – on her Instagram account.
