Online gaming website Bingo surveyed 11,000 people to find out which were the worst places for a first date. While the thought of taking your date to a fast food joint is not a very appetising plan in this context, this survey corroborated it. 13% of respondents chose McDonald’s as the worst place for a first date, coming in second place. Topping the list of worst ideas was a date at the cinema, because if you’re looking for a good conversation, you’re not going to find it sitting in an armchair.
Closing the top 3, choosing your own home as a meeting point is not a great idea either. Other options you can’t consider would be to take him to your parents’ house, watch a football match or go swimming.
Noisy places, bad choice
Among the reasons why places like McDonald’s are not a good choice would be the lack of glamour for a flirting situation. Either because of the lack of romance that such an atmosphere would create, the noise or the lack of intimacy you would have. And, of course, the lack of ability to surprise or impress the other person.
In this regard, another survey conducted by the dating app Bumble also found that noisy places like this are less than ideal for a flirting situation. This survey also concluded that places like the cinema were also not a good option. 58% of respondents said that a place that you can’t leave easily, is far away or very lonely was synonymous with disaster.
