Manuel Arroyo, Coca-Cola’s vice-president, receives 6.6 million euros in shares

The Spaniard took up his new position as Executive Vice President of the company on January 1, 2024.

A few months ago, the Coca-Cola group announced that Manuel Arroyo would become executive vice president and group chief commercial officer as of January 1, 2024, making him the global ‘number three’ of the iconic U.S. beverage emporium. Now, the company has just made public its financial results for 2023, although it has not yet published its remuneration report with the amounts earned under all headings. What has been made public are the movements with shares of the multinational. In this regard, it has announced that the Spanish executive will receive 120,996 shares of the company valued at 6.6 million euros.

This operation is part of Manuel Arroyo’s remuneration for his functions in the company in 2023, according to a document from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the United States. The report also specifies that 54,226 shares, worth almost 3 million euros, have been withheld to meet the corresponding tax obligations.

With respect to the company’s chairman, Quincey James, he has been allocated 443,544 shares worth 24.3 million euros (of which 196,356 were set aside for tax purposes).
