If you are a fan of this iconic card game where fantasy, spells and creatures give free rein to imagination and competitiveness, this news is of interest to you. Magic: The Gathering is going to celebrate its 30th anniversary in style. To do so, it has created a limited edition beer together with New Belgium Brewing’s Voodoo Ranger IPA brand. It is called Vastwood Seer IPA and is inspired by the magical landscapes of the Magic multiverse.
The tin is inspired by the colors of the game and their respective mana systems. In addition, it is also inspired by each of the five land types in Magic, with five hops, five grains and five spices coming together to transport your taste buds to an elven forest alongside Nissa, the seer of Vastwood. As for the ingredients, the team has worked to evoke Magic’s multiverse, selecting grains and hops from the vast plains, citrus from the island coasts, spices from the marshlands, juniper berries from the steep mountain slopes and spruce tips from deep in the forest.
Voodoo Ranger is delighted with this partnership as they have been part of the Magic community for almost a decade, sharing their love of beer and entertainment. So to be able to create a special edition for their 30th birthday is quite an honor, according to Patrick Morgan, Voodoo Ranger’s Community Manager.
A long-lasting partnership
Voodoo Ranger has been part of the Magic: The Gathering community for more than seven years. We connect Magic fans and professionals through a shared love of beer with our creator program,” said Patrick Morgan, community manager for Voodoo Ranger. “It couldn’t be a greater honor to help Magic celebrate its 30th anniversary with this limited-edition IPA, created by a brewing team that can be found playing Magic when they’re not brewing.
It can be purchased through the website for a price of $49 for two packs of 4 cans. Although at the moment they do not ship outside the United States. So fans here will have to wait a bit.
