The brands are getting a head start on the spooky season with a life-size coffin from YETI. The collaboration features the season’s most sinister freezer dubbed ‘CASKET COOLER‘, which arrives just in time for the Halloween festivities.
According to the creative duo, the cooler has been made ‘with Yet’s patented T-Latch heavy-duty lid locks and Triple Foam ColdCell technology to keep your drinks ice cold for an eternity’. An innovative and unusual item they’re auctioning off so you can chill your snacks ‘the size of death’.
As for its size, the duo has indicated that it measures 83 inches wide by 23 inches high and 28 inches deep. It weighs a whopping 85 pounds, sans ice. More importantly, it holds “approximately 378 12 oz cans of Liquid Death or 252 19.2 oz cans of Liquid Death.”
The launch campaign projects the satirical narrative fueling the collaboration: ‘It’s not just a coffin. It’s a revolutionary beverage cooler,’ as a couple weeps in a funeral home while an undertaker asks, ‘Is this to your liking?’ To which the crying couple replies, ‘It’s perfect.’ The undertaker then explains to them that if they want to get their hands on it before they meet its creator, they’d better bid on it now.
The ‘Casket Cooler’ started its auction at liquiddeath.com/YETI with a starting bid of $1,500 that has just reached a whopping €49,003.80. In about nine hours, the auction will expire to reveal the winner of this terrifying freezer that is only available in the United States.
