La Tour d’Argent, founded in 1582 as the oldest restaurant in Paris, reopened in 2023 after an 18-month renovation that will continue to reinterpret and serve its extensive heritage.
This Michelin-starred gastronomic landmark, which inspired the iconic film ‘Ratatouille‘, is also widely known for having served at its tables personalities ranging from Louis XIV to artists such as Salvador Dalí or Marilyn Monroe.
Now, La Tour d’Argent is reopening its doors for one of the biggest events of 2024, the revival of Notre Dame Cathedral, which is at the centre of its permanent panorama, and the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Its signature dish looks set to remain the pressed duck, cooked in its own blood, a recipe popularised in 1890, in addition to its simpler menus, priced from 150 euros to the most affordable dinner at 360 euros.
