Krispy Kreme is now celebrating Barbie‘s 65th birthday with an exclusive edition to feed the fantasy of its community of fans. An ‘iconic flavor statement’ featuring four doughnuts inspired by the aesthetics and iconography of Mattel’s most famous doll.
‘We’re excited to celebrate the Barbie brand’s 65th birthday with a fun-filled, flavorful collaboration,’ shared Dave Skena, global brand director for Krispy Kreme, in the announcement. ‘We’re bringing Barbie’s iconic fashion to life through delicious doughnuts that are sure to thrill Barbie and Krispy Kreme fans alike.’
These are the new Barbie-themed donuts from Krispy Kreme.
- The Barbie Pink Doughnut: this one is inspired by Barbie’s iconic pink and popism. It’s made with an Original Glazed base and coated with pink buttercream, and topped with bright pink sugar and a pair of edible Barbie sunglasses.
- Malibu Dream Party Doughnut: this one is fueled by the fun and fashion of the Barbie DreamHouse. This one features a Cake Batter Kreme filling, and a Malibu blue frosting topping and shimmering graham sand.
- Barbie Berries ’n Kreme Doughnut: according to the brand, this one is ‘as sweet as Barbie herself’. This one is filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in white icing, drizzled with purple and pink buttercream, and topped with a Barbie heart.
- Barbie Sweet 65th: this original glazed donut is dipped in chocolate glaze and covered with Barbie Sweet 65º dragees.
Barbie fans can now purchase the fancy donuts individually or in a six-pack at Krispy Kreme.
