Those who have been following KFC over the past few years may not be as surprised as others by the latest product launch from the famous fried chicken chain. Having ventured into the world of cosmetics with its first ‘gourmand’ fragrance, the fast food giant has teamed up with Hismile to transform its 11 herbs and spices into a toothpaste, accompanied by a themed electric toothbrush.
‘Like biting into a hot, juicy piece of KFC Original Recipe chicken, this toothpaste is irresistible as it coats your teeth in flavour and leaves your mouth feeling fresh and clean,’ explains the press release.

KFC’s fluoride-free toothpaste is inspired by the taste of its crispy fried wings, and features ‘a formula that cleans teeth thoroughly’, according to the company. The idea to bring out both a toothpaste and a matching toothbrush started as an April Fools’ Day prank, said Hismile marketing director Koban Jones. ‘We love pushing the envelope, and what better way to do that than to bring KFC’s legendary flavours to an everyday essential product? This collaboration is bold, unexpected and a lot of fun.
