The ‘Pulp Fiction’ star visited one of his favorite restaurants after returning from the Paris Olympics. The place in question is called Via Canaletto, and is located in the town of New Smyrna Beach in Florida.
There John Travolta would enjoy a dinner filled with Italian classics such as pasta carbonara, lasagna and bucatini with meat sauce, restaurant owner Leon Geller told the News-Journal. His chef Antonio Mazzella would also treat Travolta to special dishes such as swordfish puttanesca.
Geller then wanted to praise his chef’s work for the News-Journal. ‘He makes most of his food from scratch,’ the owner said, sharing that his restaurant offers a new house pasta every night. ‘He [Travolta] loves chef food,’ he added.
The actor was even willing to portray the moment by posing in a photo alongside the restaurant’s team. ‘It’s always a great time when JT comes to dinner!” the Italian wrote in an Instagram post. And is that, Travolta has been friends with Geller since 2010, having become one of the restaurant’s VIP diners since its opening in October 2023.
Geller expressed that, on this occasion, Travolta called the restaurant to say he was home from the Olympics and wanted to come in and enjoy dinner. ‘JT is one of the best people I’ve ever met in my entire life, and I’ve been all over the world,’ Geller said of his friend. ‘He’s the best human being and, like I said, when people come over, he never turns anyone away. He’s very nice and he’s good. It’s good to have him here, and we look forward to having him more in the future.’
