The actress turns 55 on 24 July, but she wanted to start the party much earlier with a series of luxury celebrations. One of them would be at the Italian restaurant Arthur & Sons in New York, where she organised an exclusive evening with friends and family such as her son Max, her sister Lynda and her manager Benny Medina.

The special menu was catered by chef Joe Isidori, owner of Arthur & Sons, which, PEOPLE reports, was orchestrated around dishes such as fried calamari, Caesar salad, Arthur & Sons spaghetti marinara and chicken parmesan. He also loves the homemade Limoncello cheesecake and takes some home with him every time he comes,’ says Isidori.

However, prior to this celebration, the day before there was a sort of historic prelude: a Bridgerton-themed birthday party in the Hamptons. Guests were photographed there in Regency-era attire, including Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez, upon her arrival at the party. Lopez, before the party, would post selfies on Instagram in which she wrote: ‘Today is going to be a great day. Happy Saturday to everyone’.
