The actress delights us with a new episode of her culinary series #PretendCookingShow. This time, starring alongside her friend and chef Daniele Uditi, who has already been ‘with her family on several special occasions for her effervescent presence, and her favourite pizzas and pastas’.

Jennifer and Daniele now bring their cooking talents together again to make ‘Cauliflower Cavatelli’ pasta with just 4 ingredients. Although you can always buy fresh pasta at your local supermarket, the duo decided to get to work to make it at home in a quick and easy way. Take note of all the steps to make it, either to surprise your loved ones or to feast on your own.

Recipe

Garner starts by cutting the cauliflower into small pieces, commenting that ‘the smaller the better, the faster they cook in the pan’. Once the cauliflower has been chopped, he adds a little olive oil to a hot pan and cooks the chopped shallot until soft.

Then add the cauliflower and, after sautéing it for a while, Garner and Uditi add a little water. The extra moisture helps cook the cauliflower until it is soft, and ready to whisk. The actress then whips the mixture with a little olive oil on low speed until smooth.

When the dish is ready to serve, it is recommended to add some of the pasta water to a pan along with ½ cup of the cauliflower puree. Once mixed, add a portion of pasta to the sauce and stir. If you are ‘fancy’, they say, you can add some chopped squash blossoms and garnish with a singular flower for an ‘extra touch of elegance’. Also finish it off with a sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese.
