In Tokyo there is a restaurant where you can experience Pokémon IRL in a gastronomic way, hunting down all the characters through your palate.
At the Pokémon Cafe in Tokyo, every detail is carefully designed: from the décor that changes over time, to the characters in the form of statues, to the food, which is also replicated in plastic, as is the case in many Japanese restaurants.
These are iterations placed on tables that simulate real dishes, and emphasise the visual narrative of the space with which to immerse oneself in its world. Codes that are also transferred to the walls adorned with murals depicting scenes from the games and the series, along with stuffed animals of all sizes such as Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasur or Squirtle.
Fantasy menu
The café’s menu is represented in thematic forms through sweets, dishes, desserts and coffees inspired by its characters. In this sense, although their dishes also evolve, there are a series of fixed menus: those of Eevee, Pikachu and Snorlax, as well as popular dishes such as their curry in the shape of Pikachu or their Snorlax rice, to pair with their sweet drinks of Sprigatito, Fuecoco or Quaxly, or their selection of smoothies and teas decorated with the cast’s faces.
Of the coffees that can be ordered, in addition to coffee in a Pikachu cup, you can opt for a pokebowl cup and choose your favourite Pokemon to be drawn on the frothy milk.
