How to prepare tapenade, the ideal olive recipe for appetizers

We always say that during the summer it is much more desirable to prepare simple and fresh recipes to combat the heat. That’s why, dishes for snacks or appetizers are ideal at this time of the year. Today we bring you the step by step of a French dish made with black olives that you can spread on toast or serve as an accompaniment to meat or fish. The recipe is called tapenade, it is typical of Provence, and here we show you the step by step. It is very simple, so get to work.

Tapenade recipe

Ingredients:

  • A jar of black olives (pitted)
  • 4 canned anchovies
  • 1 tablespoon of capers in vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • A pinch of parsley
  • Pepper to taste

Preparation:

  • Its preparation is very simple and quick. First you have to crush the black olives, together with the anchovies, the capers and the garlic cloves (previously removing the germ from the inside of the latter, so that it does not repeat).
  • Once crushed and well blended, add the olive oil and continue crushing until emulsified.
  • Finally, add the parsley, pepper and lemon zest.
  • You can serve it on toast or as a garnish for a main dish.
