For the new installment of #PretendCookingShow, Jennifer Garner prepares a delicious recipe, but, this time, from a totally different setting. In the middle of the countryside as a natural enclave where she camps with her children.
In the morning, Garner decides to delight them with a simple and nutritious recipe. I’m making them a little breakfast: hash browns,’ she shares in the video. To make it, the performer starts by using the KitchenAid Go Cordless system to finely dice the potatoes. She then shapes them into quarters before adding them to the KitchenAid to break them down.
After that step, divide the potatoes to make half of the fries with cheese and half without cheese. Season both batches with onion powder and brown them on the hot grill pan with olive oil. The trick is to let them cook without touching them until golden brown,’ Garner says.
While the potatoes are cooking, the ‘Deadpool’ star makes a smoothie to go with breakfast. He uses just five ingredients: a banana, strawberries, ground flaxseed, peanut butter and almond milk. She also adds ice to give it that cooling effect. He then blends it in his cordless blender and serves it.
After turning the potatoes and seasoning them with salt and pepper, Garner plates the fries and garnishes them with chives. With the sour cream and ketchup on the side, he adds some protein to each plate with a seasoned sunny-side up egg.
