Super Bowl LIX is about to revive fan sentiment for fans of ‘When Harry Met Sally’. And the fact is that its protagonists have just reunited to relive the culinary scene that is part of the history of cinema. A key sequence of the film that returns to the present thanks to the power of the Super Bowl advert, in which Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal return to Katz’s Delicatessen to enjoy a meal at the same table; although this time with Hellmann’s mayonnaise as the main condiment of the romantic sandwich.
The chemistry between the actors once again transcends the screen in this advert for the American brand in which, between bites of sandwich, Sally informs Harry that his game of seduction may not be as incredible as he thinks it is.

‘What are you saying, that they fake orgasm?’ asks Harry, which inspires Sally to deliver the romantic comedy performance of the century, one that continues to be parodied, quoted and replayed. In this sense, the new ad focuses less on Harry’s shortcomings and more on what Sally gets out of her turkey sandwich and mayonnaise: moans of pleasure echo throughout the restaurant, drawing everyone’s attention. Even Sydney Sweeney, who makes a cameo in the spot to utter the iconic line: ‘I’ll have what she’s having’.
Interested parties can order a pack of ‘What She’s Having’ sandwiches for $120 on the Katz’s website, which will be delivered on Friday 7 February 2025. ‘The pack also includes our legendary hand-carved pastrami on fresh rye bread for an authentic New York deli cinematic experience,’ describe the product notes.
