The Hollywood icon stars in Glenmorangie‘s new 12-part mini-series, directed by Joel Edgerton, which combines tradition with humour in an unusual advertising vision of the whisky. In the project, Harrison Ford hilariously unravels through various scenes, posing in a customised Palace kilt. Along the way, the actor visits Glenmorangie’s 180-year-old home in Tain to learn about the whisky distilling process, while in other episodes Ford has an ‘authentic Scottish experience’, learning how to pronounce Scotch and interacting with the locals. Always with a glass of whisky in hand.

‘An iconic actor needs an iconic setting. So there was only one place for it. Shot in the Scottish Highlands, this campaign highlights the place we’re proud to call home. From our Tain distillery, where we’ve been creating greatness in a glass since 1843… To the historic 19th century Ardross Castle… To the spectacular scenery surrounding Loch Glass,’ read the Glenmorangie notes.

The film of the ‘Scottish hero’ is complemented by a series of images captured by acclaimed fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey, showing Ford posing with the Glenmorangie bottle.

Ford was keen to verbalise his enthusiasm about this collaboration full of twists and turns: ‘I loved working with the team at the distillery, everyone was great. The whole filming process was full of unforeseen joys, little unexpected moments’.
