The darkness of Halloween invades the streets and restaurants of the city to present the most gloomy and gloomy proposals of its gastronomy. If your idea is to experience them in full, under the moonlight, take note of these places where you can celebrate this spooky night in a culinary key.
Zielou
The trendy restaurant Zielou presents a gastronomic show inspired by the gothic and fantastic universe of Tim Burton. A special culinary episode that will introduce diners to a series of mysterious flavours reinterpreted through the culinary creativity of executive chef Juan Sánchez.
From the dark changing rooms of the staff, to the photocall or the famous Golden Tickets from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, they will become the props and the stage for this evening directed by Tim Burton, which will display dishes such as a ‘Wanton of vegan bolognese with spicy pineapple tartar and guajillo chilli sauce’ or ‘Flame-grilled scallops with citrus sauce and fresh Chinese chives, accompanied by Sicilian gremolata and French lemon curd cream.
For dessert, Zielou will stimulate diners’ magic through chocolate bars, some of which will hide the famous Golden Ticket to win prizes.
The special Halloween by Zielou menu will only be available on 31 October for €58 per person.
Araldo
As night falls, Araldo‘s will be rolling out a spooky interpretation of their iconic Italian pizzas, praised by global critics.
Their Halloween version will consist of an exquisite creation by their Verona-based chefs: a recipe of Fiordilatte Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, Roasted Pumpkin, Pancetta, a touch of honey on a soft inside and crispy outside dough, with stone-ground organic semi-wholemeal flour and sourdough.
And that’s not all, those who come to the restaurant in costume will receive a complimentary bloody cocktail.
The Fitzgerald
The darkness of Halloween will also invade the premises of The Fitzgerald, the fast food chain that will present for the occasion a gourmet American-style burger dyed in blood red made with red brioche bun with crunchy chicken, ranch sauce, pickles, lettuce, Emily sauce, cheddar and bacon.
Fitzgerald’s spooky menu will also include a kitkat milkshake brimming with cream and caramel.
Martinica
As night falls, the designer restaurant run by chef Marcello Salaris will activate the sinister mode with a gastronomic experience fused with a dj set that will liven up the experience until 2am.
Martinica will serve a spooky evening set for the occasion -for €42- consisting of a goat’s cheese salad with honey, pine nuts and prawns, a roasted aubergine glazed with miso and Ideazabal cheese, a sea bass with huancaina sauce and herb mayonnaise, a cheeks, mushroom and truffled bechamel cannelloni, and a delicious strawberry tart with its textures. The liquid pairing will come in the form of a spooky ‘Spider Martinique’ cocktail decorated with spider webs.
La terraza del Santo Domingo
On the seventh floor of the Hotel Santo Domingo, with a panoramic view of the Madrid nightlife, you can order two spooky drinks, perfect for pairing with their delicious pumpkin recipe: Gorgonzola cheese risotto with pumpkin, shiitake and walnuts.
On the one hand, a stimulating alcoholic version of the ‘I’m a Zombie‘ cocktail has been created, with rum, orange juice and mango puree, edible lychee eyes and blueberries, and a non-alcoholic one called ‘October Bug‘, made with coconut puree, kiwi, mango and pineapple juice with gummy worms.
Hard Rock
The funeral passage will continue to the iconic Hard Rock Hotel restaurant which will open a door to hell, evoking the legendary AC/DC song ‘Highway to Hell’.
With the Addams family as master of ceremonies, attendees will be able to star in their own funeral, the final destination of which will be a delicious dinner at the Sessions restaurant, enlivened with quiz games and the chance of a roulette wheel that will complete the satanic experience along with traditional sweets, sweets, music and themed cocktails.
