Ramsay introduces his debut ‘By Chef Ramsay‘ frozen food range, he revealed to PEOPLE magazine exclusively. On sale only at Walmart, this glacial Michelin-starred collection is focused on comfort food classics such as lasagna and shepherd’s pie.
‘I’m thrilled to bring my favorite dishes into homes across the country,’ the ‘Next Level Chef’ host transfers to the masthead. ‘I’m thrilled that these dishes are so accessible to anyone, and I hope they inspire the home chef in all of us.’
The eight varieties of food he displays on the line can be reheated in just a few minutes, and represent a special part of his personal culinary journey.
In Ramsay’s frozen section, we can find a lasagna that combines four types of cheese -ricotta, Parmesan, Romano and mozzarella- and a Bolognese sauce between sheets of pasta. Similarly, baked macaroni with four cheeses includes mozzarella, fontina, parmesan and provolone, while macaroni noodles are topped with cornbread crumbs.
Other dishes in the collection include mushroom risotto, chicken pot pie, chicken with lemon capers -with broccoli and potatoes- and a delicious slow-roasted veal.
Of course, his haute cuisine reinterpretation of British classics, such as shepherd’s pie with minced beef, vegetables, mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese on top; and his beer-battered fish and chips accompanied by thick fries, could not be missed.
