User @ilovesubnautica reported on the X platform an unusual case linked to Burger King in the town of Ingolstadt (Germany). According to the tweet, the location gained such a bad reputation that the chain decided to withdraw the franchise from the location. ‘They were kicked out of the BK chain for being, like, the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to.’

What was the local’s rejoinder then to that expropriation? Remove the ‘KING’, and reduce its name to ‘Burger’ only. A strategic and sarcastic move that also included in the ‘pack’ to keep its original sign.

The rebranding of this rebranded restaurant was not only carried out at a visual or graphic level, but also in the menu, which reinterprets BK’s classic dishes in a humorous way. Thus, instead of the traditional Whopper, the ‘Classic Fux’ is offered. The ‘fux’ also reinvents the name of the ‘Big Fux XL’ and the ‘Bacon Fux’.

The offer also includes several chicken sandwiches with the slogan: ‘Diese Fuxe gibt es auch als plant-based’, indicating that some dishes are available in a vegetable version.
