Former Olympic swimmer Gemma Mengual has turned her career around by opening a shop selling cannabis products specifically for athletes called Cannabity Healthcare. The company located in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona opened the shop at the beginning of December last year. It is a business where you can buy CBD-derived herbal teas, balms, oils, flowers, influsions, cosmetics and other therapeutic products for athletes suffering from chronic pain, back pain, insomnia, anxiety, skin problems and stress.
The sportswoman has embarked on this new facet of entrepreneurship after having been training in Business Management at the EADA business school. Gemma posted the news on her Instagram explaining that she loves challenges and new projects, and that the main purpose of Cannabity was “to help people who need it, athletes, amateur athletes, elderly people and even our pets, all thanks to the therapeutic properties and benefits of the Cannabis plant and CBD oil”. The shop has physical premises and also sells online.
In addition, Mengual also has other businesses, such as her Japanese restaurant, ‘Sugoi’, in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona, and the company Así Está el Patio S.L., founded with her representative Patricia Díaz Buj, dedicated to the management and marketing of young, promising retired athletes and sports greats.
