From Louis Vuitton‘s zen camp to Loewe‘s interpretation of traditional board games: the mooncake is now more than ever dressed in luxury to commemorate this glowing holiday around the moon.

Both local and international brands have presented their own designs of Cantonese mooncakes, which have a rich history dating back more than 3,000 years in China. These sweets are identified by their round, glazed outer shape, as well as their salted egg yolk interior wrapped in a lotus seed paste.

That is the basis on which these cult brands have cooked, sculpting their creations through contemporaneity, as reflected by Versace, which serves its iteration in a black box sealed with the golden logo.

In the same collection, Saint Laurent‘s mooncakes are presented in a round, all-black minimalist wrapper with the Maison’s logo. Meanwhile, Rimowa‘s version is displayed in a plain rectangular box that, when opened, shows an illustration of two rabbits eating mooncakes.

Continuing with its themed wooden boxes, Loewe incorporates this year a ‘Go‘ board where you can enjoy a round of games while tasting its donut-shaped cookies.

Other brands such as Dior, Gucci and Marc Jacobs also sit at this high-end table to serve tea, as an element that they integrate into their sets, with teapots, tea strainers or teacups with moons.

Finally, other fashion houses such as Fendi and Cartier decided to go for show and display, with Fendi‘s lantern emulating traditional paper lanterns.
