It is common for actors, singers, sportsmen and women or any personality who loves large amounts of money to end up investing in businesses that are very different from their professional activity in order to make their fortune profitable. Many opt for the real estate or technology sector, but we have discovered that the world of food also attracts quite a lot of celebrities. Here are 11 celebrities who own food brands.

Beyoncé and Lemon Perfect

In 2022, the drinks brand announced that Beyoncé was joining as a key investor. It received a $31 million investment round (although the amount contributed by the singer was not disclosed). Lemon Perfect is a brand of hydrating lemon water that has experienced tremendous growth in the enhanced water category.

“We are honoured and proud to have Beyoncé as part of the Lemon Perfect family. She is a global icon whose talent, character and positivity are second to none. Her investment and energy will accelerate Lemon Perfect’s rise towards its goal of becoming the number one brand in the multi-billion dollar enhanced water category by market share,” the brand said.

For her part, the diva explained that she doesn’t usually “enjoy drinks with no added sugar, but Lemon Perfect is delicious”, whose decision to invest here was easy because, among other things, the drink “makes healthier lifestyle choices affordable and accessible to everyone”, she said.

Jay-Z and Parkate Foods

Beyoncé’s husband also has food-related businesses. He invested in Impossible Food, a plant-based meat company. He later invested in Partake Foods, a vegan, allergen-free cookie company. Jay-Z’s venture capital firm, Marcy Venture Partners (MVP), led an initial funding round of close to one million euros, according to VegNews.

Rihanna and Madison Brown Ice Cream

The ice cream brand teamed up with Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) to create an ultra-creamy Neapolitan swirl flavoured ice cream with high quality ingredients, made with vanilla and strawberry ice cream and a unique touch from Rihanna: a special crunchy chocolate ribbon and her signature on the back of each container. The price of each ice cream is less than €9 and all proceeds will go to Rihanna’s organisation which, among other things, supports climate initiatives in the Caribbean and the United States.

Zac Efron and Kodiak Cakes

In 2022, the actor became brand director and shareholder of the breakfast food brand. The company announced it on social media with the following message: “Very happy to have Zac as an investor, a member of our board of directors and our brand director. Zac is phenomenal to work with… he just gets us”. As reported by Forbes, Efron plans to launch new products and expand the brand’s marketing efforts.

Kylie Jenner and GLOW

GLOW Beverages is a brand that markets premium electrolyte hydration drinks with a blend of amino acids and vitamins. The youngest member of the Kardashian clan became the brand’s main ambassador. In addition, the brand also announced that both Kylie Jenner and football player Dak Prescott were joining the company as ambassadors and shareholders, attracted by the unique products that fill a gap in customers’ needs when it comes to hydration. “With the addition of Kylie Jenner and Dak Prescott to our GLOW team as shareholders and promoters of the drink, we are going to grow this company,” said Kev Kouyoumjian, Managing Partner.

Jason Derulo and TREO

The singer decided to become a new partner of the organic drink brand, acquiring a significant stake in the company, as Rolling Stones magazine reported in November. Derulo is also the brand’s best ambassador.

Bon Jovi and the project Soul Kitchen

The singer has a foundation called The JBJ Soul Foundation, through which he opened two charity restaurants in New Jersey that serve food mainly to the poor. The restaurant has prices on the menu, but it is advisable to pay around €9. However, if you can’t afford to pay, you can pay by volunteering at the restaurant.
