This Monday a robbery took place at the Filandón restaurant. According to the first investigations, early on Monday morning two hooded men entered the restaurant and, at gunpoint, threatened the employees who had just entered and took the weekend’s takings. According to some media reports, the amount of the robbery could range between 20,000 and 50,000 euros.
Everything seems to indicate that the assailants had the heist well planned. The robbery took place a few minutes after the workers opened the premises for morning duty (without customers, since the opening for service is at 1 p.m.). The robbers threatened one of the employees with a gun and went to the offices to get the loot they were looking for: the weekend’s takings. According to ABC, one of the employees resisted and even hindered the robbery, although she did not manage to stop the robbers from taking the loot and ended up handing over the money.
Police sources suspect that the robbers may have had a mole inside the restaurant itself, who gave them details of the times and strategic places where they could get their hands on the money. The Judicial and Scientific Police Brigade immediately went to the premises to collect fingerprints and initiate the relevant investigation.
