PepsiCo Spain has appointed Fernando Moraga as the company’s new general manager, after leading the Portuguese market for the past three years, the company said in a statement on Wednesday, October 9.
The executive will continue to be part of the management committee reporting to PepsiCo’s general manager for Southwest Europe, Pol Codina.
Moraga takes over from Iker Ganuza, who has been at the helm of PepsiCo Spain since the end of 2021 and takes over as head of Strategy and Transformation in DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), Benelux and Nordics.
I assume this new stage with enthusiasm and convinced that I can continue to contribute, together with my team, to the growth and success of this business unit, one of the 20 main markets of the company globally,’ says Fernando Moraga.
The new CEO began his career at PepsiCo in 2001 holding different positions within Sales and Marketing, and in 2019 he was appointed Sales Director for Spain. In 2021 he assumed the position of general manager in Portugal.
The company explained that ‘he will be responsible for driving the group’s business in all its categories in Spain by betting on growth through key categories, innovation and transformation.’
