Barcelona has been having an intense few days with all the international visits it is receiving. To those of Obama, Bruce Springsteen and Steven Spielberg, has also been added that of actress Susan Sarandon. On this occasion, she visited Barcelona as part of the Barcelona Film Festival, where the legendary film ‘Thelma & Louise’ was screened. In addition, the interpreter also received the award of honor at the Sant Jordi Awards. Sarandon has also taken the opportunity to enjoy the city: from going to the Picasso Museum or the Casa Batlló, to stroll on the day of Sant Jordi and, of course, visit good restaurants. We reveal which two gastronomic references the actress visited.
Her first stop was a classic of the city, the restaurant 7 portes, which has been serving traditional Catalan cuisine since 1836. The menu includes a wide range of recipes based on great classics, but with a renewed touch. Sarandon surely tried some of their famous rice dishes or the “endangered” spoon dishes, as they say on their own website.
He also ate at another prestigious restaurant
But that was not her only gastronomic experience in Barcelona. Susan Sarandon also took the opportunity to visit the restaurant Petit Comitè, run by chef Carles Gaig, who shared in his networks the joy that the visit of the actress had made him. This place is another benchmark of good gastronomy and serves all the essence of Catalan cuisine combining the best seasonal and local products with a modern and contemporary presentation.
In addition to an excellent menu, they also serve a seasonal menu with dishes such as Gaig cannelloni with truffle cream, crispy suckling pig with strawberry salad and spring onion or Catalan cream. The menu costs 75 €.
