Having ventured into the world of canned cocktails with ‘Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop‘ in February of this year, the duo has now decided to explore the world of ultra-premium gin with the launch of an exclusive drink in which they blend notes of tangerine, jasmine and coriander.

The title of the new product, ‘Still G.I.N.‘, references one of the tracks that would mark rap history forever: ‘Still D.R.E.’, diluting the cult classic into a liquid expression 25 years later.

According to the press release, this is a light and smooth version of the classic gin, which takes on the botanical mouthfeel of a traditional gin, but with a more citrusy flavor profile. Floral and spicy notes are more subtle, rather than dominating the main palate.

Bottled at 85 proof, this honeycomb-inspired bottle is designed ‘for gin enthusiasts and newcomers alike’, with a liquid suitable for sipping and cocktails, Dre and Snoop’s ‘Gin & Juice’ brand has revealed.

The rappers have been involved in the entire creative process of the gin; a drink that has always connected them in the studio when making music. ‘It’s not a liquor that we just put our name on,’ explained Dr. Dre. ‘It’s just like we did with Beats headphones. It’s all ours from the beginning: the gin, the flavor, the packaging.’

We’ve been involved in the evolution of this gin, from the creation of the flavor to the percentage of alcohol in it, and it’s great. Dre is a perfectionist: he wants to make sure it’s not just good, but great. Together, we won’t make anything regular.

In addition to its eponymous co-founders, the spirits company is led by Patrick Halbert, Andrew Gill and Rocco Milano, founders of bottled cocktail brand On The Rocks, which was acquired by Suntory Global Spirits in 2020.
