The pop icon is expanding his Duncan Hines line of mixes with a variety of mixes hitting shelves soon: Chocolate Cake Mix, Yellow Cake Mix, Cinnamon Crumb Cake Mix, Blueberry Muffin Mix and Banana Nut Muffin Mix.
Parton also wanted to explore the breakfast ritual and launch its own version of the meal: a Buttermilk Pancake Mix with the Conagra Foods brand.
Parton’s line, dubbed the ‘Cook Like a Rockstar Series‘ after her ‘Rockstar‘ album, is already adored by many, including her husband Carl Dean Thomas.
Beyond the range, the ‘Jolene’ singer shared some of her culinary rituals with PEOPLE, expressing that she was a ‘born cook’ thanks to the education she had received. I’ve been cooking all my life, because I grew up in the country, in a big family and I’m one of the oldest, so I know how to cook. Sometimes I have to concentrate a lot on baking, but I enjoy it when I do it’.
Parton also wanted to delve into the feedback she perceives between music and baking through ‘multitasking’, saying that she often plays her own projects while cooking to see what else she needs to add to her songs. ‘Sometimes I’m working on things on my own and I’ll listen to it to see what I need to do, if I need to add more instruments or if I need to add background vocals,’ he explained.
