As well as being known as the queen of country music, Dolly Parton is a businesswoman with a fortune of 320 million euros. The singer of hits such as Jolene and 9 to 5, as well as having published several books and having her own theme park (Dollywood), has been in the baking business for years, selling her favourite cake recipes. Together with the Duncan Hines brand, Parton has launched several limited edition baking mixes featuring her legendary recipes. She will launch her new collection on 7 February.
There are 4 new flavours for fans of the singer to bake cakes such as Caramel Turtle Brownie, Buttermilk biscuits or cornbread and muffins. In addition, this baking collection will include a Dolly-inspired tea towel and spatula, as well as 3 souvenir recipe cards and a special note from the singer. It’s a special pack for the mythomaniacs. The complete collection will cost around €37, while each individual preparation will cost around €3.20. Of course, these products will only be available for delivery in the USA.
This is not the first time Parton has launched baked goods. Last year she collaborated with Duncan Hines to market mixes inspired by some of Dolly’s favourite family recipes, which were a huge success. They sold out on several occasions and the brand put more stock back on sale. During the Christmas season, the singer released several videos explaining how to prepare each of her recipes.
We can’t wait for Dolly Parton’s cakes to be sold in Spain too. In the meantime, you can make do with some of the best chocolate cakes you have to try.
