The rapper is once again collaborating with Taco Bell for their Super Bowl commercial. In the advert, the chain wanted to reverse the roles between fans and celebrities, making Doja Cat desperately want to appear in the photo taken by some customers with their new ‘Drive-Thru’ camera.
When they realise that ‘someone is photoboming’ them, a Taco Bell employee appears and shouts at Doja: ‘for the last time, no celebrities’, to which she replies: ‘I want to be in this ad’. The two have a verbal sparring match before the ‘Paint the Town Red’ singer hides in the bushes to continue her mission.
The teaser ends with the narrator’s conclusion: ‘If you had your picture taken on one of our Drive-Thru cameras, you could be in our Big Game ad. Participants may be slightly famous, but not Doja Cat famous’.
The love affair between Doja Cat and Taco Bell dates back to 2022, when the singer masterminded the return of the restaurant’s beloved Mexican pizza, after asking for it to return to the menu on and off social media. That same year, the company would end up collaborating for the first time with the superstar for its ‘The Great Escape’ ad, in which the singer appears in costume as a clown.
