Doechii is currently immersed in Paris Fashion Week, and in between shows, she took time out to review the dessert that was left for her at the hotel, which she gave a failing grade.
The Grammy winner gave the cake a 4 in the reaction she shared on Instagram stories on 2 March. ‘Okay. Here’s the thing, I get it. I get it, but that doesn’t mean it’s for me,’ she told her fans after taking a bite of the orange treat, plus a second to think. ‘It’s an acquired taste,’ he added before deciding on his ranking: ’I’m going to have to give it a four.’
After seeing the stories, the hotel chef decided to send her an assortment of delicacies to try in order to change her mind and leave with a good taste in her mouth. What Doechii didn’t expect was that when she returned to her room on 5 March, she would find a new assortment of Parisian desserts: a fruit display and a big chocolate microphone.
The ‘swamp princess’ then said: ‘They gave me a note and said, ’Hey, miss, we’ve brought you more desserts to try. These are personally from our baker. So we’re going to come back and try them later,’ Doechii said. ‘And I’m excited to try them, and give another review, so let’s see how they taste and also thank you very much to my hotel which I won’t disclose.’ ‘Thank you guys so much for sending me new desserts,’ she added.
After returning to the hotel, Doechii did a tasting of the new treats, starting with one that looks like a lemon-lime hybrid with a hard coating. ‘We’re getting into desserts,’ he said upon arrival. ‘Let’s do it.’ After mulling over the flavours he said, ‘I get it! I get it. I get it. I think I like it,’ the rapper continued before rating the green treat an “eight out of ten,” a far cry from her initial assessment.
