On Saturday, August 10, Disney shared new details about the already announced ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ tavern that will open in 2025 inside the Florida theme park. We have thus been able to access a sneak peek of the project with plans and renderings unveiled during the ‘Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase’ exhibit at the D23 fan expo.
‘At Disney Experiences, Imagineers dream, create, design and build these stories in real places. And we have Imagineers right now all over the world because everything we’re going to share with you is in active development,’ said Disney Experiences president Josh D’Amaro. ‘The blueprints are drawn. The land is moving. I want to be clear: We’re doing everything you’re going to hear tonight.’
The ‘Pirates’ room, inspired by the hit 2003 film franchise, is described as a ‘bustling watering hole’ for pirates that will be part of the Disney universe. In the drawing, it can be seen how the space features a large anchor-shaped chandelier on the ceiling adorned with candles, along with pirate motifs, such as swords and pieces of treasure.
Pirate diners will be able to enjoy a selection of grogs and food worthy of the sea in this tavern that will arrive at Magic Kingdom Park.
