The TATEL Dubai restaurant is known, among many other things, for being orbited by a constellation of sports stars including Rafael Nadal, Cristiano Ronaldo and Pau Gasol, who will now ‘run’ this Spanish haute cuisine venue with international touches from the nerve centre of Dubai.
Located in the Boulevard Hotel, Autograph Collection, TATEL is inspired by a 1920s speakeasy and features live music on weekends and resident and guest DJS during the week. The restaurant is also notable for having a bar aesthetically reminiscent of the Prohibition era.
The menu is full of Mediterranean classics such as the TATEL milanesa with sous vide egg and grated black truffle or the Spanish omelette with truffle. Although to whet your appetite we recommend dishes to share such as the red tuna carpaccio, the salad with prawns or the freshly shucked oysters.
For the main courses, the rice with beef ribs, served with paella rice, or the risotto with truffle are real must-tries. And, for dessert, the torrija presented in a fiery way at the table, with which to close the TATEL experience that has had a great impact in Madrid, Ibiza, Beverly Hills and Riad, both for its high presence of celebrities and its gastronomic proposal.
Totó
Totó is another of the restaurants on the Madrid scene – involving superstars – that will soon open in Dubai, although the date is not yet known. This Italian cuisine restaurant with traditional recipes is inspired by an Italian cinema of the 1950s both through its interior design and its menu, which pays tribute to the legendary film Cinema Paradiso.
