If there is an iconic Martini, it is the Dry Martini. But for those who like to innovate and try different drinks, today we bring you a cocktail that has gone viral by actress Madelyn Cline, star of the hit film ‘Glass Onion’ and who this month will also premiere the third season of ‘Outer Banks’, available on Netflix. Her favourite cocktail is the Porn Star Martini, although this one doesn’t have the drink in it.
Very popular in the UK, it was created by bartender Douglas Ankrah more than 20 years ago. The name was inspired by a visit to Mavericks Revue Bar Gentlemen’s Club in Cape Town, South Africa. If you are curious to know what ingredients are in this peculiar cocktail that has once again been popularised by the young actress Madelyn Cline, here we show you how to make it.
But before you get down to business, you’ll need a coupe glass, and it’s also often served with a shot glass (or goblet) on the side, with Prosecco or sparkling wine.
Ingredients:
- 45 ml vanilla vodka
- 15 ml passion fruit liqueur
- 30 ml passion fruit puree
- 15 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
- 15 ml vanilla syrup
- Shot glass with cava or sparkling wine
- Half a passion fruit garnish
Preparation:
- Pour all the ingredients -except the cava- into a shaker with ice and shake well until very cold.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish with half a passion fruit.
- Pour the chilled cava into a shot glass and add it to the cocktail.
