¡Toma nota!
Cinnamon roll recipe
Ingredients:
- 500 g of strong flour
- 7 g sachet of yeast
- 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 200 ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 100 g butter
- For the filling:
- 150 g brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 125 g butter
- For the glaze:
- 50 g cream cheese
- 50 g powdered sugar
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation:
- In a bowl, add all the dough ingredients except the butter. Add a pinch of salt and whisk to mix everything well.
- When a compact dough is created, put some flour on the worktop and knead until smooth. Return it to the bowl and gradually add the softened butter, while continuing to mix.
- Then flatten the dough, cover it and put it in the refrigerator for an hour.
- Meanwhile, prepare the filling. In a bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon and a little salt together with the butter.
- When you take the dough out of the refrigerator, roll it out again on a floured surface, forming a rectangle. Spread the filling all over the dough until it is completely covered.
- Roll the dough into a tube. Set aside in the refrigerator to harden slightly for about 30-40 minutes.
- When you take it out, cut the tube into slices of the same size.
- Preheat the oven to 200 ºC. Bake the rolls for 20 minutes.
- Then sprinkle the sugar on top with a little cinnamon and bake again for 15 minutes more, or until you see that they are well browned.
- Finally, prepare the glaze by beating the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. You can add a little boiling water to thicken it. Pour the glaze over each cinnamon roll.
