Charli XCX, who has just generated an entire global phenomenon around her latest album ‘brat’, filling everything with acid green and low-resolution arial typography, is inspiring the latest iterations of pop culture as one of the great musical and aesthetic references of our era. Now, the singer has also generated that impact in the culinary world.

This summer has officially become Charli XCX’s summer of brats, and the culinary scene knows it too. The hyperpop icon’s new album is thus being remastered in the form of matcha lattes or avocado toast with the word ‘brat’ inscribed on top. Meanwhile, other content creators have taken it to baking with neon green icings or green-colored drinks with which they explore the great viral phenomenon.

Daniel Preda would also make a big splash on the internet for creating the ‘BRAT’ milkshake, which would eventually become an actual milkshake in collaboration with Los Angeles-based chain Moon Juice.

Frozen vegan frozen food company Field Roast also wanted to join the Charli boom by introducing a distinctive billboard that paid tribute to her album through the slogan ‘brat wurst’. This emulated the cover’s slightly elongated font on a bright neon green background and included a photo of the brand’s apple and sage smoked sausage.

Going a step further, the brand would post a mock-up of its Brat-themed sausage packaging on Instagram, and even change its profile picture to synchronize with the trend that has been replicated by countless users and brands on the network.

Taking the Brat fever into other areas of food as well. Oakland graphic designer and amateur baker Jessica Duong, who operates virtually through @jd_bakes_4u, also transcended into the gastro-musical mainstream with the customization of a Brat-themed birthday cake.
