Casa Tarradellas multiplies by 2.5 its profits in 2023, overcoming the challenging scenario of inflation and rising costs of raw materials and energy, a consequence of the conflict in Ukraine.

The agri-food company, based in Gurb (Barcelona), achieved a net profit of 34.3 million euros, an increase of 152% compared to 13.6 million in 2022. ‘The result on sales figure was 2.49%, exceeding the ratio of the previous year,’ the company details in its management report. The company would allocate all these profits to voluntary reserves.

However, these figures do not include the results of Herta, the European meat group of which Casa Tarradellas acquired 60% in 2018, in partnership with Nestlé.

Casa Tarradellas, known for its production of fresh pizzas, spices, pâtés, sliced and mixed sandwiches, has a workforce of 2,948 employees. During the past year, the group’s turnover increased by 18%, reaching 1,378 million euros, a growth that the company attributes to the favorable evolution of international markets and the strengthening of its presence in Spain.

Among our objectives, we intend to allocate future profits to capitalize the company and make new investments that will ensure its long-term competitiveness,’ the company points out.
