Lovers of good omelettes are in luck. The restaurant Casa Dani, famous for this typical dish, has announced that from Monday 3 April it will reopen the doors of its three premises located in the Mercado de la Paz. They have done so through a statement published on their website and on their social networks in which they have highlighted the desire they had to return. “We would like to express our gratitude for all the support and affection we have received over the last few days”, they announced.

Casa Dani has also explained that during these two months of closure they have taken the opportunity “to make improvements to our establishments, both functional and structural” and have indicated that they are returning with the same enthusiasm as on the first day. As well as thanking all the support received from customers and suppliers, they wanted to place special emphasis on thanking their colleagues at the Mercado de La Paz, “with you everything is always easier”, they added.

According to the press release, for the moment Casa Dani will reopen the premises located in the Mercado de la Paz (Terrace, Market Bar and Shop). As for the restaurant on Calle Lagasca, the food delivery service and the shop in the Mercado de San Leopoldo, they will soon announce their imminent reopening.

It should be remembered that at the end of January there was an outbreak of salmonellosis with more than a hundred people intoxicated and, after the Regional Ministry of Health ruled the presence of the bacteria in the relevant analyses, the owners had to close their premises, as well as their delivery service. According to the health studies carried out by the Madrid Salud laboratories, the main hypothesis indicates that the outbreak originated because some of the workers were unknowingly carriers of salmonella. As a result of this issue, during these months, the company has collaborated with the Madrid City Council to draw up a self-monitoring protocol, following the indications of Madrid Salud, in terms of both food handling and hygiene measures for workers.
