It has been more than a decade since Brad Pitt was introduced to the world of champagne. It was in 2012 when the actor, along with his then-wife Angelina Jolie, the Perrin family to expand winemaking operations at Chateau Miraval in Provence-Pitt and Jolie have had legal disputes over this property. But it wasn’t until 2020 when Pitt – now divorced – launched Fleur de Miraval together with the Perrin family and Péters. It became the only French winery dedicated exclusively to rosé champagne and has been a success.

They have therefore embarked on creating new products such as Petite Fleur, a brut made from Chardonnay and Pinot noir grapes grown in the Cote de Blancs, specifically in the fields around Mesnil-sur-Oger, in France, and around the town of Verto.

Fleur de Miraval has been a great success. But Petite Fleur differs from its ‘big brother’ in some aspects. On the one hand, in terms of the winemaking process, it is different and this new one tends to reflect a more classic champagne, although it has the same color and floral notes.

Petite Fleur, a more ‘affordable’ champagne

In addition, it has been reported that this new champagne will be more ‘affordable’ at an economic level. It is expected a production of 20,000 bottles worldwide available from October at a price slightly below 100 €. Fleur de Miraval costs around €350.

For the bottling, Brad Pitt’s new champagne follows the same line as its predecessor, with a black glass bottle and a pink label. There is also a triple P in relief, which refers to the surnames of the three partners of the brand: Pitt, Péters and Perrin.

As for the name of this new champagne, Petite Fleur – which means “little flower” – is a tribute to Sidney Bechet, the American jazz legend, who fell in love with France, just like Brad Pitt, as specified by People magazine.

A few months ago, the actor also launched his own gin, called The Garderner, also with the Perrin family.
