The Spanish extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) Palacio de Los Olivos has retained for the sixth consecutive year the award of best olive oil in the world in the picual variety, according to the ‘Evoo World Ranking’, which has again recognised this oil for its high quality, fresh and nutritious taste, among other aspects.
Specifically, this oil from La Mancha, which is produced in Olivapalacios, has retained the title of ‘The most awarded Picual in the world’ by accumulating more than 200 medals in prestigious national and international EVOO competitions in which expert tasters in New York, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Paris, Berlin, Zurich, Milan, Athens, London, Beijing, Tel-Aviv and Tokyo, among other cities, have placed it at the highest level, where it deserves to be.
The Spanish mill has explained that Palacio de Los Olivos Picual being ranked as the most awarded extra virgin olive oil in the world since the 2016-17 campaign is largely due to the peculiarities of the land in which its olive trees grow on calatrava soils of volcanic origin, as well as the climate that allows its perfect development, the own management of its olive grove and the exhaustive control of each part of the production process. On the other hand, the company also entered for the second year in the prestigious EVOOWR world ranking with its arbequina variety.
You can buy a 500 ml bottle of their picual for around €8.90 in supermarkets.
