Located in the Borne district, behind the church of Santa María del Mar, Estimar restaurant is an intimate and somewhat hidden place, characterised by its love of the sea and its grilled cuisine and produce. Run by chef Rafa Zafra, ex-Bulli and current executive chef of Heart Ibiza, it serves a very basic cuisine but with an excellent innovative proposal, based on the purity and quality of the seafood and fish. In addition, Estimar has opened another restaurant in Madrid.
The specialities you can taste here range from Roses prawns to the carpaccio of langoustine and caramelised onion “Homenaje al Bulli 1995” or steamed Rocundo barnacles with laurel vinaigrette, among others. This is a menu with which Rafa Zafra intends to pay homage to the restaurants where he used to eat during his time at elBulli and the Benazuza estate. Some of these restaurants are Can Rafas, Cal Campaner, La Sirena and Alhucemas.
