For those of you who don’t know Antoni Porowski, he is an LGBT TV and food icon who has been nominated four times for Emmys for his role as a food and wine expert on ‘Queer Eye’. Now, he has decided to open a new chapter in his life to create positive experiences through the programme ‘No Taste Like Home’ in which he embarks on a series of culinary journeys with celebrities such as Florence Pugh, Awkwafina, Justin Theroux and James Marsden.

These star-studded culinary journeys are designed to experience and learn about the culture and food of their ancestors, using genealogy and family history to help guests learn more about themselves.

In the visit with James Marsden, they eat the actor’s childhood favourite chicken fried steak in Texas and end up drinking German beer and hiking in the mountains of Bavaria, while in the Awkwafina episode they delve into the depths of jajangmyeon (a Korean-Chinese noodle dish with black bean sauce) in New York and kimchi in a South Korean backyard.

Throughout each trip around the world you can see what inspires each star and what really excites them. All this and much more can be seen in ‘No Taste Like home with Antoni Porowski’ from 23 February on National Geographic.
