Renowned chef Antonhy Bourdain‘s best-selling classic, which compiles his delicious recipes and provocative tricks of the trade from his famous New York French brasserie, returns with a special edition celebrating the 20th anniversary of ‘Les Halles Cookbook: Strategies, Recipes, and Techniques of Classic Bistro Cooking‘.
This fall will see the reissue of the ‘Les Halls’ book, which incorporates a foreword by Gabrielle Hamilton, chef, writer and founder of Prune. The book will feature simple recipes with which to prepare classic French dishes signed by the culinary star: from Bourdain’s roast beef ribs and steak frites to escargots aux noix and foie gras au pruneaux.
Beyond that title, Bourdain fans will also enjoy the return of the book ‘Bourdain Typhoid Mary: An Urban Historical‘, which follows the story of family cook Mary Mallon as she spread a disease through New York kitchens for years.
‘Taking us through the seedy back doors of New York kitchens circa 1900, Typhoid Mary uncovers the horrific conditions that allowed the deadly spread of typhoid fever for a decade,’ describes a release the book, which fuses true crimes with an exclusive look at the chef’s life in the same plot.
The reissued books will go on sale October 15, and can be pre-ordered through Bloomsbury.
