Angelina Jolie recently opened her first boutique, Atelier Jolie, located in New York’s Lower East Side, right in a building that was once owned by Andy Warhol and was also occupied by street artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. Therefore, Atelier Jolie is not just a store, it is a creative space and meeting point for artists from different branches to collaborate and work together: from tailors to pattern makers or artisans. In addition to having a luxury retail boutique and this artistic space, the store also has its own cafeteria, for which Angelina Jolie has partnered with the Eat Offbeat collective, a group of chefs who give opportunities to people and refugees from other parts of the world such as Syria, Sri Lanka, Venezuela or Senegal.
This coffee shop is open from 11 am to 6 pm, while the Atelier closes one hour later. Among the products that can be tasted in this coffee shop, of course they serve commercial coffee, but also drinks from the countries of origin of the chefs of Eat Offbeat -as a way to vindicate their traditions-.
There is also a robust section that includes a wide variety of traditional dishes from around the world, such as chicken curry yassa and katarica and more fair trade teas, and you can even order through the GrubHub app.
