The city of Barcelona has been revolutionized by the visit of celebrities such as Barack Obama, Steven Spielberg and Bruce Springsteen. The three, along with their respective partners, are staying at the same hotel and yesterday decided to have a joint evening at the Amar restaurant. The Boss has a concert in Barcelona and both the former president and the filmmaker are not going to miss it. The group of friends visited Rafa Zafra’s Amar restaurant on the recommendation of José Andrés, a friend of theirs. The Asturian chef visited Amar a few weeks ago, together with the Adriàs, and it seems that the choice suited Obama and company.
This is the Amar restaurant
Located in the Palace Hotel in Barcelona, Amar takes its name from both his love for Barcelona and Rafa Zafra’s love for seafood. This restaurant is a true temple of the product, where the ingredient is the protagonist that provides an innovative dining experience where tradition and modernity go hand in hand.
Chef Rafa Zafra shared on his networks some of the dishes that the Obama’s, Spielberg and Springsteen were able to try. Among the delicacies they tasted were classics such as smoked salmon and caviar bikini, a tasting of oysters, prawns from Roses or ‘mongetes de Santa Pau with tuna morrillo and Iberian bacon.
The Sevillian chef described the evening as a “magical day”. Apparently, the Americans made the reservation yesterday morning. Surely with the great culinary tribute they gave each other, today Bruce Springsteen will be more than ready to give a concert in Barcelona.
