Albert Adrià joins forces with renowned pastry chef Alfredo Machado to open Gelato Collection, as an annex to the Torrons Vicens store on Barcelona’s Ramblas. The alliance is completed by Ángel Velasco, general manager of Torrons Vicens, a company with which the Catalan chef has been collaborating for a decade, making his own version of the classic turrones.
The ice cream parlor, conceived as if it were a futuristic minimalist jewelry store, focuses all the attention on the product: on the 60 flavors that will be developed and served in its display, divided into categories. That is, in classics, seasonal, signature and alcoholic, in order to satisfy all tastes.
From green pistachio ice cream, vanilla, Agramunt nougat, raspberry with roses and lychee, or apricot: summer can be savored from this space that will also feature sorbets. And, as already shared in the past on the Internet, one of the many options that can be tasted is the hazelnut one, a classic that has been renewed ‘transforming textures’.
Gelato Collection will also have alcoholic ice creams, with flavors such as margarita or piña colada -with an alcohol content of 4.5%- that will complete the offer of this ice cream parlor with which these great culinary figures reinvent and elevate the national ice cream scene.
