Fans of Dabiz Muñoz will know that in his Netflix documentary ‘UniverXO Dabiz‘ the chef questions very seriously the future of DiverXO through a series of existential questions such as: ‘I don’t know if it’s time to close DiverXO’ or ‘I’ve been dedicated only to DiverXO for 18 years, and after 18 years I don’t know if that still makes so much sense or if I feel like changing my life focus’.

Now, the most irreverent chefs in the world, has just resolved all doubts about it, communicating that he will stay and renew (at least) one more season of the restaurant. The news has come through an official communiqué from NH and DiverXO entitled ‘We are extending the season’. On February 20, Muñoz has summoned the media to a press conference in which both he and Hugo Rovira, the general manager of Minor Hotels in Southern Europe, will explain the details of the agreement and the decision to extend DiverXO’s stay at the NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding hotel for one more season.
DiverXO stays at NH Eurobuilding
Dabiz has reached an agreement with the hotel group to extend DiverXO’s stay for three more years, until December 2027. A season that will allow him to reflect on the future of the restaurant and a possible location to move it to (in case he wants to continue).
We are super grateful to NH. We were finishing the contract in April […]. We are happy that we don’t have to close Diverxo in April. For as long as it lasts I hope we will be the same or better’, said Dabiz Muñoz, after praising Hugo Rovira’s attitude to all the restaurant’s needs, maintaining “a wonderful attitude” at all times.
In the meeting, Hugo Rovira also wanted to verbalise his great interest in extending the contract with Muñoz. It’s been a fantastic ten years on our part, which fortunately we can extend. Dabiz has done an exceptional job. At Minor, we have always paid a lot of attention to gastronomy, we don’t sell hotel rooms, we sell something else, with different proposals, among which Dabiz has been very important, as well as having contributed to positioning Madrid as a world gastronomic destination’.
