Reese’s is now making sure that all its fans can fulfil their collective dream of filling their chocolate shell with lots of peanut butter. The brand is introducing an innovative DIY kit in response to a viral post shared on Reddit from a customer who bought a pack of Reese’s without peanut butter. ‘My entire five-pack of Reese’s contained no peanut butter,’ the author wrote along with a photo of the bitten shells, revealing a solid chocolate centre.
This revolutionary pack includes a jar of Reese’s peanut butter filling and a milk chocolate coating, allowing everyone to customise their own sweet fix with a peanut butter to chocolate ratio.
The Reese’s Deconstructed Peanut Butter Cup Kit went on sale on Saturday 2 November for $30 on the Hershey’s website, but sold out within hours. However, the group has stated that ‘overwhelming fan interest’ could see the kit return very soon.
